Installation

There are different install instructions for WIN95, WIN98/ME, and WIN XP.

All are listed below: Windows 95 instructions:
1. Clean the CD ( I know it sounds silly but most problems are caused by a dirty CD) · To clean the CD, spray the shiny side of the CD with some glass cleaner (Windex or 409). · Wipe the CD with a soft, lint free cloth (like an old T-shirt) from the inside edge to the outside edge in straight lines (like bicycle spokes). 2. Close all programs running in the background. To do this hold down (CTRL) and (ALT) and press (Delete). A close program box should come up 3. Select any thing that is NOT explorer or Systray and click the "End Task" button · Note: Some programs will pop up with another box that reads "Program Not Responding", simply click the "End Task" button on that box as well · Note: While the "Close Program" box is up, pressing (CTRL+ALT+DEL) will cause the system to reboot, be careful not to do this. · Note: You can only select one item at a time. You will need to repeat steps 2 and 3 until only Explorer and Systray remain. 4. Please try to install the program. Insert the cd in your CD-Rom if the install does not automatically start Double Click on the My Computer icon on your desktop Double Click on your CD-Rom drive in the window that appears One of 2 things may happen: a. The setup will start b. A window will open showing all the folders and files on the CD If this happens look for the setup.exe file at the bottom of the list (it will have a computer screen icon) and double click on it

Windows 98/ME instructions: 1. Click Start / Run 3. Type in the run command line MSCONFIG and press OK. 4. You will see a box titled System Configuration Utility. Under General Click on Selective Start-up. Make sure that everything is unchecked except process system.ini. Then click OK. Your computer will then want you to restart it. 5. After your computer has restarted Hold down (CTRL) and (ALT) and press (Delete). A close program box should come up 6. Select any thing that is NOT Explorer and click the "End Task" button · Note: Some programs will pop up with another box that reads "Program Not Responding", simply click the "End Task" button on that box as well · Note: While the "Close Program" box is up, pressing (CTRL+ALT+DEL) will cause the system to reboot, be careful not to do this. · Note: You can only select one item at a time. You will need to repeat steps 5 and 6 until only Explorer remains. 7. Please try to install the program. Insert the cd in your CD-Rom if the install does not automatically start Double Click on the My Computer icon on your desktop Double Click on your CD-Rom drive in the window that appears One of 2 things may happen: a. The setup will start b. A window will open showing all the folders and files on the CD If this happens look for the setup.exe file at the bottom of the list (it will have a computer screen icon) and double click on it 8. You will need to restart you computer in normal mode again 9. Click Start / Run 10. Type in the run command line MSCONFIG and press OK. 11. This time click on Normal start-up and click OK. Your computer should restart in normal mode.

Windows XP instructions: 1. Clean the CD ( I know it sounds silly but most problems are caused by a dirty CD) · To clean the CD, spray the shiny side of the CD with some glass cleaner (Windex or 409). · Wipe the CD with a soft, lint free cloth (like an old T-shirt) from the inside edge to the outside edge in straight lines (like bicycle spokes). 2. Close all programs running in the background. If you have an anti-virus program you may want to disable it during the install as it may cause interference with the install. 3. Please try to install the program. Insert the cd in your CD-Rom if the install does not automatically start Click on Start Click on the My Computer Double Click on your CD-Rom drive in the window that appears One of 2 things may happen: a. The setup will start b. A window will open showing all the folders and files on the CD If this happens look for the setup.exe file at the bottom of the list (it will have a computer screen icon) and double click on it
