My First Amazing Science Explorer
There are two common issues for this program. One issue is for PC and one for Macintosh. Both are listed below. PC Issue: On machines with DirectX6.0a or higher installed there an issue involving sound. That problem is when selecting some components in the program environment the sound will "loop" over and over causing the system will hang. Here is a link to the science-explorer-patch.exe. Please follow these instructions to install the patch: · Right click on the science-explorer-patch.exe file and choose copy · Right click on your Desktop and choose Paste, this will paste a copy of the science-explorer-patch.exe file on your Desktop · Double click on the science-explorer-patch.exe file to run it · A window will open to unzip the file, click the Unzip button · Then click OK when the file is unzipped · The patch is now installed and you shouldn't have the problem with the looping sound in Science Explorer any longer. · You can drag the science-explorer-patch.exe file from your Desktop to the Recycle Bin Macintosh Issue This program is not compatible with MAC OS 9 or higher or QuickTime 4 or higher. Error message when trying to run this program on a system it is not compatible with will read: "Application Science Explorer could not be opened because >>Science Explorer<< could not be found"
